SOLUTION We developed a series of two- and three-story townhomes that maximize the potential of the infill site while maintaining a human-scaled environment. Clean lines, generous glazing, and durable materials such as fiber-cement panels, metal cladding, and natural wood accents give the buildings a contemporary yet grounded aesthetic. Each unit incorporates private balconies and outdoor spaces, ensuring residents feel connected to the neighborhood while enjoying access to natural light and fresh air. The façades are carefully composed with alternating rooflines and a rhythm of vertical and horizontal elements, breaking down the overall mass into a cohesive and approachable scale. Interior layouts are designed for efficiency and flexibility, allowing for open living areas, private bedrooms, and integrated storage solutions. By emphasizing natural light, durable finishes, and thoughtful detailing, the homes achieve a balance between modern design appeal and long-term practicality. RESULT The Idaho Street Townhomes stand as a model for contemporary infill housing in Boise’s urban core.
