Design a durable, low-maintenance, lock-and-leave mountain retreat capable of withstanding heavy snow loads and intermittent occupancy while supporting multi-generational use.
SOLUTION
The cabin form responds directly to snow and climate, with roof geometry and structure designed for long-term resilience. Corrugated metal siding and durable cladding minimize maintenance, while large windows frame forest views and bring daylight inside. Outdoor decks extend living spaces during summer months, reinforcing family gathering. Interiors use simple, durable finishes suited to retreat living. The result is a contemporary mountain cabin that balances practicality and warmth, designed to weather Central Idaho’s conditions while supporting long-term family use and shared memories.
