We created a two-story residence that balances these dualities through proportion, materiality, and flow. The exterior combines clean stucco walls with natural stone accents, deep roof overhangs, and traditional tile roofing, resulting in a façade that feels rooted and enduring. Careful massing and generous window placement give the home a sense of openness, bringing balance to the architecture and natural light deep into the interiors. Inside, the layout centers around the kitchen, conceived as the true heart of the home. This space anchors the plan, with a large island and custom cabinetry that encourage both family interaction and seamless entertainment. Formal and informal living spaces radiate from this hub, creating a natural rhythm that accommodates daily life as well as special occasions. Dining and living areas extend outward through large openings to covered terraces, where indoor and outdoor living merge into one experience. Private spaces were designed with equal care. The bedrooms and suites provide intimacy, comfort, and quiet retreat, enhanced with details such as rich millwork, built-in furnishings, and custom ceiling treatments. These touches add to refinement and character, ensuring the home feels both expansive and personal. RESULT The completed residence embodies the essence of transitional design, blending contemporary proportions with the warmth of Mediterranean tradition. The combination of stone, stucco, and tile creates a timeless exterior presence, while the interiors invite a lifestyle of both sophistication and ease. Every space is crafted to reflect the clients’ vision for family living, hospitality, and long-term legacy. The result is an elegant, heirloom residence that feels welcoming, enduring, and distinctly theirs.
