We began by tailoring the prototype to the Star location. The site plan was developed to support clear circulation, organized parking, and convenient access to drive-through services. The building was oriented for maximum visibility along the main approach roads, reinforcing the credit union’s presence in the community. The design carried forward recognizable elements of the client’s architectural brand, such as stone, metal panels, and bold horizontal forms. These materials were adapted to local conditions to create a facility that felt both familiar and site-specific. Inside, the layout was planned for openness and transparency, with glass-enclosed offices, a bright central lobby, and direct sightlines that support both staff efficiency and member comfort. Interior finishes were selected to balance warmth and durability. Natural light and energy-efficient systems were integrated to reduce long-term operating costs while improving the quality of the environment. Flexible interior configurations were incorporated to allow the credit union to adapt as services and technology continue to evolve. RESULT The new branch successfully establishes Frontier Credit Union in the Star community. The design extends the client’s architectural image into the Treasure Valley while responding to the character of its immediate context. The result is a facility that provides members with a welcoming, efficient, and customer-centered banking experience. At the same time, it strengthens the credit union’s brand identity and delivers long-term value through thoughtful planning, durable construction, and adaptability.
