Gowen Field C-130 Hangar

The Idaho Air National Guard required a modern hangar to support its fleet of C-130 aircraft. The facility needed to integrate maintenance, operations, and support spaces within a highly functional and durable structure capable of meeting rigorous FAA, military, and security standards.
We designed a pre-engineered metal building with expansive clear-span bays capable of housing multiple C-130 aircraft simultaneously. The layout includes dedicated maintenance areas, storage, and administrative offices to streamline operations. The design emphasizes durability with reinforced structural systems, heavy-duty hangar doors, and weather-resistant detailing. Coordination with mechanical and electrical systems was critical to support specialized equipment and safety requirements.
The new hangar provides the Idaho Air National Guard with a state-of-the-art facility that supports mission readiness and operational efficiency. The large-span bays, integrated maintenance and support spaces, and secure design ensure the building will serve as a long-term asset for military aviation operations at Gowen Field.
