Develop a mixed-use village center that integrates residential, retail, office, and community uses into a cohesive, walkable environment while remaining flexible enough to adapt to market changes over time.
As a member of the design team at Cole Architects, Mark contributed to this large-scale mixed-use master plan. The plan is organized around a central pedestrian plaza and water feature, establishing a clear social and visual core. Retail, residential, and community buildings frame this space, reinforcing walkability and identity. Streets, parking, and service access were carefully coordinated to support functionality without compromising the pedestrian experience. Community amenities including an amphitheater, hotel, and varied housing types strengthen the project's role as a destination. The result is a flexible, phased development framework that balances commercial viability with placemaking.
Quarry Village establishes a strong sense of identity while supporting long-term adaptability, positioning it as a vibrant mixed-use hub within Boise's evolving urban fabric. The plan demonstrates how thoughtful master planning can deliver phased, market-responsive development without sacrificing cohesion or place identity.
